The AICS Group specializes in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to clients with brain injuries, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, learning disabilities, complex behavior, live-in support, and social and personal needs.
The AICS Group is seeking a Support Worker to work with a client located in postcode UB9. This role offers immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, collaborating with a range of health and social care professionals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Client: Our young female client who has acquired a brain injury and requires Support Worker assistance to achieve her rehabilitation goals.
Hours required: The shift pattern for our client is as follows:
* Tuesday & Wednesday, 11 am to 6 pm
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Skills:
* Driver with the ability to assist with the client's mobility and operate the client's van
* Minimum of 1 year experience in health and social care
* Basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good IT skills
* Ability to work in the client's home environment
* Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals daily
* Ability to take a person-centred approach
* Experience in medication administration, personal care, and manual handling
* Willingness to learn and accept feedback
* Ability to think creatively and outside the box
Desirable Skills:
* Experience providing care to people living in the community
* Participation in Support Worker meetings
* Participation in person-centred training
