The Role We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Laboratory Technician to join a small and supportive team within a regulated scientific environment. Working in a market-leading company, this role is pivotal in handling, testing, and processing clinical samples in line with stringent compliance standards. Reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager, you'll operate within a GLP/GMP cleanroom laboratory and be expected to manage samples during rotational shifts, including occasional evening and weekend work. Process and test clinical samples to Human Tissue Authority (HTA) standards Maintain compliance with GLP/GMP standards in a CAT A/B cleanroom environment Apply aseptic techniques with high attention to contamination control Conduct validation and ongoing compliance testing Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and SOPs Assist with stock management and laboratory upkeep Perform microbiological testing, including control runs Input and manage data for therapeutic applications Monitor environmental standards and uphold exceptional cleanliness Support customer queries and liaise with healthcare professionals Participate in CPD and internal training to uphold regulatory standardsRequirements Previous laboratory experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. Applicants with relevant scientific education will also be considered. A sound understanding of aseptic techniques, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently and accurately are highly desirable. A background in microbiology or cleanroom environments would be advantageous. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Lab Assistant, Laboratory Technician, or Scientific Support Technician.
