Care Assistant Care and Support - Cedar Lodge and The Limes Care Home Contract: Full Time Salary: £12.71 Per Hour Shift Type: Days & Nights Available Contracted hours: 34.5-45 Cedar Lodge Care Home is a well established service in Taunton, Somerset, providing specialist dementia, palliative and respite care for up to 39 residents, alongside The Limes, a dedicated mental health community supporting a further 15 individuals. Set in a peaceful location, the home offers a welcoming, supportive environment with a strong focus on personalised care, dignity and wellbeing across both services. Care Assistant – Dayshift and Nightshift Vacancies £12.71 per hour Contracted hours: 34.5 hours or 45 hours per week Pension scheme, Paid DBS, Uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract) Shift times: Days 8am – 8:15pm (3 vacancies) / Night 8pm – 8:15am (1 vacancy), including alternate weekends Role Overview As a Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting residents across Cedar Lodge and The Limes. You will assist people living with dementia, complex mental health needs, and those receiving palliative or respite care. Your focus will be on delivering personalised support, promoting independence, and maintaining dignity in every interaction. You will help residents with their daily routines, including personal care, mobility, nutrition, and social engagement. By working closely with the care team, you will monitor health and wellbeing, communicate observations to the nurse or clinical deputy manager, and respond promptly to residents’ needs.
