Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Advanced Pharmacist to join our professional team. You will provide a holistic highly specialist pharmaceutical care service to patients accessing the HIV and sexual health services within Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust to achieve high quality, cost effective and evidence‑based prescribing/use of pharmaceuticals in specific areas.
Key responsibilities
* Provide specialist pharmacy services to the sexual health service; may include prescribing, support work and developing initiatives.
* Work closely with service users, families, friends and carers to contribute to their experience.
* Support the Lead Specialist Pharmacist in delivering specialist pharmacy services.
* Act as a clinical specialist and lead role, acting as a role model for others.
* Ensure effective care planning that meets professional standards and collaborates with service users and carers.
* Facilitate reflection on service delivery and identify quality improvement work.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience in HIV and sexual health is preferable and advantageous but not essential.
* Motivated Band 7 pharmacists looking to progress into an advanced role are welcomed.
* Structured development pathway offered for Band 7 level to support progression to Band 8a, including relevant training, supervision and competency‑based assessment.
