Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, address, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of business unit goals and objectives. Responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing PLCs, AC/DC Drives, and motor and drive controls. The individual will also participate in general maintenance duties of the equipment and facilities as advised by their supervisor.
Work Schedule: 4x4 schedule, 6:30 pm - 6:30 am, 12-hour night shifts
How You'll Help Us Connect the World
* Troubleshoot and repair machine electro-mechanical malfunctions using appropriate test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, laptops, and PLC interfaces.
* Apply mechanical equipment knowledge, including use of lathes, mills, cutting, and welding tools.
* Work effectively with automation and instrumentation devices in support of engineering or technicians.
* Follow all proactive safety measures, including NEC, NFPA, and other safety codes, and ensure safety procedures like Lock-Out/Tag-Out are followed at all times.
* Possess extensive knowledge of production systems, including compound systems, air compressors, and pit water systems.
* Have a strong understanding of 3-phase electrical systems, machine/motion control systems, electro-mechanical systems, VFD, and servo systems.
* Assist in developing, coordinating, and leading ongoing in-house training programs.
* Complete project assignments in a team-based environment with minimal supervision.
* Read electrical drawings and schematics.
* Perform other general facilities and project duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications for Consideration
* Manufacturing experience working with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs controlling process, AC/DC/VFD drives, and automation equipment.
* Military experience and training may be considered in lieu of industrial experience.
* Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
* Electrical certification.
* Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Systems, or related fields.
* Associate's Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technologies.
* Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix, SLC, PLC5, and AC/DC drive products like Powerflex and Kinetix.
* State electrical license preferred.
