Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Stirling Council for a Cleaning Assistant at Riverside Primary School, Stirling. The post involves providing 19 hours per week professional cleaning service on a school term‑time basis between 3.15‑7.50pm Monday‑Thursday and 3.15‑7.40pm Friday, paid at Stirling Council Grade 1.
This is a temporary post which ceases on 26th June 2026. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to gain knowledge and experience of the cleaning industry within a local government environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional cleaning service on a school term‑time basis.
* Lifting heavy items.
* Using cleaning machinery including electric buffing machines, scrubber dryers and vacuum cleaners.
* Cleaning surfaces to head height.
* Work independently with no supervision required.
* Operate with personal protective equipment, tools and training provided.
* Use basic IT for online training and HR applications.
Required Qualifications
* Capability to lift heavy items.
* Basic working knowledge of IT.
* Willingness to undertake training for Stirling Council online training and HR IT applications.
* Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults.
* Upon interview progression, complete PVG form and have details verified.
