Akari Care is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager who is nurse qualified to join our team in Wallsend. This is a temporary role with a competitive hourly rate of £25.01. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Home Manager and other teams to ensure the smooth running of the home, support budgetary controls, manage financials, and be accountable for Human Resources.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Home Manager and wider teams to maintain high standards of care and service.
* Oversee financial and budgetary controls, ensuring effective use of resources.
* Lead staff in a flexible, supportive manner, encouraging personal and professional development.
* Handle challenging situations, including emergencies such as serious accidents or infectious disease outbreaks, while maintaining a compassionate and confident approach.
* Support and coach colleagues in training, development, and other day‑to‑day operational duties.
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care.
* Experience within the healthcare sector.
* Management/Leadership experience (essential) and desired qualification.
* Valid NMC certificate with an active PIN.
* Demonstrated caring nature and ability to give each resident a personal approach.
* Flexibility, adaptability to change and ability to work well under pressure.
* Warm, approachable, engaging, respectful and resilient personality.
