About the Opportunity
We are looking to grow Inspirate's board with three new introductions. We are recruiting board members to expand our regional and national networks, support our organisation to build new brand partnerships, develop a festival patrons model and oversee Inspirate's dynamic business development aims.
About the Organisation
Inspirate produces an array of cultural programmes engaging a large spectrum of the South Asian diaspora, from young people's arts projects inspiring positive cultural connections and creative dialogue between diverse neighbourhoods, to wellbeing workshops supporting older adults in sheltered homes.
Our heritage programmes are reclaiming what it means to be South Asian in the UK, and our artist development opportunities are beginning to inspire a generation of socially driven artists and cultural entrepreneurs. Inspirate has deepened its work with communities in Leicester and across the UK since becoming a National Portfolio Organisation.
Over the years, we have collaborated with a broad range of partners, including the Migration Museum, Without Walls, Royal Collection Trust, British Science Association, Sony TV and State Bank of India, hosting artists such as Abi Sampa, Vidya Patel, Nitin Sawhney, Sadiq Ali and Nandita Shankardass.
Alongside our public programmes, Inspirate offers producing and consultancy services, sharing our expertise in socially engaged practice, diversity, inclusion, and equity. We work closely with organisations to embed these values within their ethos, programming, and projects, ensuring that cultural expression remains as diverse and dynamic as the communities that we serve.
Inspirate has become a key player in the South Asian cultural sector and we are looking to develop our organisation's non-executive board with three new introductions. The social enterprise is recruiting new board members to expand its regional and national networks, working closely with professionals in the fields of corporate social responsibility, developing a patrons model and overseeing our dynamic development aims.
