About the Role
Join our team as an HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver based in Rushden, where you'll be an essential part of our logistics and construction supply chain. You'll operate a modern 8x4 tipper truck, primarily transporting and tipping aggregates, rubble, and materials to and from diverse locations, including construction sites, quarries, and recycling centres. Key Responsibilities
Efficiently Transport Materials: Safely and punctually transport materials such as sand, gravel, stone, and asphalt to and from designated sites.
Safe Operation: Conduct daily vehicle checks, ensuring the vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition. Adhere strictly to all road traffic laws, company safety policies, and site-specific regulations.
Load Management: Manage and secure loads correctly, ensuring even weight distribution and compliance with vehicle weight limits.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including timesheets, delivery notes, and vehicle logs.
Customer Interaction: Professionally interact with site managers, quarry staff, and other stakeholders, representing the company positively.Required Skills & Qualifications
Valid C Licence: You must hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
Essential Certifications: A valid Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC are mandatory.
Driving Experience: We're looking for a driver with proven experience operating HGV vehicles. While previous tipper experience is a bonus, we are willing to provide full training to a committed and skilled Class 2 driver.
Clean Driving Record: A maximum of 6 points on your licence is permitted, with no major endorsements (e.g., DR10, IN10).
Professional Conduct: A strong commitment to health and safety, excellent time management skills, and a professional, positive attitude are essential.Working Hours & Compensation
Pay Rate: A competitive rate of £16.50 per hour.
Schedule: Monday to Friday. (Weekends if busy)
Shift Pattern: Your typical start time will be between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM.
