Job Title: Lead Service Designer
Location:Cardiff, Wales
Employment Type: Contract 6months with possibility for extension
(Mostly Remote with occasional onsite )
My client, who operates in the Healthcare Digital Transformation sector, is looking for a skilled Lead Service Designer to join their team. In this role, you will work independently with minimal support, influencing and mentoring others while collaborating with service managers and programme directors to develop impactful design concepts.
Responsibilities:
* Lead design across complex services, including Vaccine and Pharmacy Services.
* Collaborate with teams to plan and implement new systems, ensuring effective service delivery.
* Set direction and embed best practices within the newly formed UCD team.
* Mentor and guide colleagues on user-centred design and agile practices.
* Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate complex design decisions.
* Develop systems across multiple services and ensure operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
* Significant experience in a service designer role, with a strong understanding of user-centred design.
* Proven track record in delivering complex digital service and product design projects.
* Ability to lead and mentor teams, especially in agile environments.
* Experience in managing design work within the healthcare or digital transformation sectors.
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
