Volunteering at the Goodwood Art Foundation is a fun way to get involved and see lots of the art!
We are seeking individuals passionate about customer experience, who enjoy meeting new people and helping others. You will be part of a small team, eager to learn and share your knowledge, with time to commit regularly to the Foundation.
We are recruiting for Gallery Assistants and Information Assistants. These roles involve indoor and outdoor work; please specify your preference.
Gallery Assistants
* Provide a warm, friendly welcome to visitors and assist with information about artworks, landscape, and events.
* Help prevent loss or damage to artworks by being vigilant.
* Support visitors in making the most of their experience, including information about the grounds and Café 24.
* Monitor standards and report concerns to the Operations Manager.
* Raise any Health and Safety concerns with the Operations Manager.
* Support visitors during special events and performances.
* Maintain health and safety practices, liaising with the Operations Manager in emergencies.
Information Assistants
* Greet visitors warmly upon arrival, providing guidance and directions.
* Assist visitors with accessible parking and EVC facilities.
* Guide visitors to points of interest within the Foundation.
* Help prevent loss or damage to artworks by being vigilant.
* Monitor standards and report concerns to the Operations Manager.
* Raise any Health and Safety concerns with the Operations Manager.
* Support visitors during events and performances.
* Follow health and safety practices, liaising with the Operations Manager in emergencies.
Volunteer Qualities
* Good communication skills and enjoyment in meeting new people.
* Flexible, with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
* Understanding of good customer service principles.
* Interest in art and the environment.
* Attention to detail and presentability.
* Willingness to commit regularly.
In return, volunteers receive a joint membership, discounts on events and in the gift shop, and two tickets to a Goodwood event.
