NES Fircroft is currently working with a prominent Oilfield Services company that is looking for a Workshop Engineer to join their team in Westhill, Aberdeenshire on a permanent basis.
The Workshop Engineer plays a key role in supporting the Workshop Manager by overseeing daily operations and coordinating workloads to ensure all project requirements are met and quality standards are exceeded. While primarily based in the UK, the role may involve occasional overseas assignments.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain, calibrate, and ensure all survey equipment is in optimal condition, with accurate records of status, calibration, and movement.
2. Assist in preparing and testing equipment systems for full operational readiness before mobilisation.
3. Help prioritise workshop activities to meet project deadlines.
4. Participate in the mobilisation, setup, and operation of survey systems, ensuring all spares, consumables, test equipment, and documentation are included.
5. Support the movement of survey equipment to and from vessels.
Requirements:
1. Degree or HND qualification in Electronics or Engineering, or a recognised apprenticeship.
2. Willingness to travel, including overseas assignments.
