Overview
Whānau Āwhina Plunket is the largest service in Aotearoa supporting the health and wellbeing of tamariki under five and their whānau. We provide clinical support through well child checks, 24/7 telehealth via PlunketLine, and community services such as playgroups to build lasting relationships within the community. Two fixed term Registered Nurse positions are available in Christchurch.
Fixed term details:
* 0.6 FTE — November 2026, mostly around South West Christchurch
* 0.8 FTE — April 2026, mostly around Central Christchurch
Responsibilities
* Meet whānau in their homes and conduct head-to-toe assessments
* Provide clinical advice and, where required, referrals to ensure pēpi have the best start to life
* Work in the community to engage with families from diverse backgrounds and utilise your clinical judgement and assessment skills
* Collaborate with whānau to support Hauora and holistic wellbeing
Qualifications and attributes
* Registered Nurse
* Ability to navigate stressful situations with a non-judgemental, supportive approach
* Resilience to manage challenging aspects of community health work
* Experience in case management, prioritisation, planning, and proactive communication

* Salary range: full-time annual salary between $66,222 ($33.51/hour) and $94,842 ($48/hour) based on experience
