Job Description:
Architect/Fit-out Design Manager
Reports to: Calvert Design Manager
Location: London Office and Buckinghamshire
Role: Responsible for managing architectural aspects at Calvert Integrated Maintenance Depot, including design and construction of buildings, coordinating design teams, supervising contractors, and ensuring project alignment with client requirements and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Attend and chair meetings with construction, design teams, and clients, providing technical support.
2. Assist the client in managing changes, risks, and opportunities, ensuring design compliance with planning applications.
3. Support the realization of the architectural vision for the Calvert Depot.
4. Manage architectural aspects related to sustainability, aiming for target BREEAM ratings.
5. Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to optimize design and construction processes.
6. Provide technical input for project documentation and assurance processes.
7. Coordinate closely with design managers and MEP teams to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
8. Address and resolve architectural issues during design, construction, and handover phases.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
2. Knowledge of building codes, standards, and site requirements.
3. Experience in managing architectural design and construction projects.
4. Understanding of building systems, including MEP.
5. Proven ability to liaise with third parties and manage multidisciplinary teams.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Focus on sustainable design, including BREEAM considerations.
