Join an award-winning gift brand as a their Production & Project Manager. This highly creative and fast-growing business is looking for a process-driven, exceptionally organised individual to take ownership of the manufacture and delivery of products, from initial concept right through to final delivery to customer. You’ll work with an impressive client portfolio including major retailers and cultural institutions, overseeing the production of high-end projects.
In this pivotal role for the business you’ll report to the Head of Product and serve as a key liaison between clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest possible standards. Key responsibilities will include:
* Set up and manage projects from briefing to delivery on a range of printed products
* Create and maintain the critical path for each project to ensure timelines are met
* Build comprehensive project and product specifications
* Collaborate with UK and Far East suppliers
* Manage project costs ensuring profitability
* Produce cost estimates and issue purchase orders
* Oversee production and quality control processes in alignment with brand standards
* Schedule and brief projects accurately to internal teams
* Coordinate feedback, queries and questions
* Track key deliveries and manage clients warehouse bookings
* Attend client meetings for briefing and production updates
* Provide excellent level of customer service and maintain good client relations
* Awareness of client obligations and system processes
* Pro-actively contributing towards the overall sustainability objectives of the business
* Ad hoc requirements typically needed in a fast-growing SME business
Skills & experience required:
* Solid experience in project management / product management (or buying / product development) within the gift, packaging, stationery, partywear or other printing related sectors.
* Outstanding project management and planning skills
* Solid understanding of print production methods and terminology, and experience dealing with domestic and overseas suppliers
* Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, capable of juggling multiple client projects
* Ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure
* A natural collaborator who can also work independently, with a flexible approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.
