About the Company
Our client is a groundworks and civil engineering company based in the East Midlands. Operating as a sub-contractor for major and regional housebuilders, as well as other market sectors, they have an opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Responsibilities
1. Reporting into a Senior Quantity Surveyor & Mentor
2. Monitoring the profitability of orders within contracts
3. Reviewing and reporting weekly on costs & value for projects, schemes, and liaising with operations
4. Preparing monthly contract forecasts
5. Assisting finance with the compilation of monthly payment applications
6. Compiling monthly CVR reports and reviewing them with Managers
7. Managing subcontract accounts from procurement to final account
8. Managing subcontract payments and liabilities within projects
9. Attending contract progress meetings with clients as required
10. Working in partnership with clients and maintaining a collaborative approach
11. Providing commercial support to operations
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar qualification, or relevant experience
* Previous experience working on groundworks or civil engineering projects
* 1-3+ years of experience in quantity surveying
* Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively at all levels
