Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home Location: Northampton (NN1/NN2) Salary: £16.93 per hour £55 per sleep-in shift Sleep-in Example: 1 sleep-in per week = additional £2,860 per year Joneshouse Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Deputy Manager to join a dedicated team supporting children aged 717 with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviours. This is a rewarding role within a therapeutic residential setting where you will help young people build brighter futures in a safe and supportive environment. Key Details: Shift Pattern: Variable, 3 shifts per week on a 3-week rolling rota Hours: 7am10pm or 8am11pm (some flexibility required) Role Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. Lead and supervise staff, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted, Childrens Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards. Safeguard the welfare of young people and ensure personalised care plans are in place and regularly reviewed. Manage rotas, staff development, and contribute to recruitment and induction. Promote education, health, emotional wellbeing, and social inclusion for young people. Act as a positive role model and support the team in reflective practice. Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence. Essential Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. Leadership skills with experience in supervising or managing staff. Strong understanding of safeguarding, childrens residential care regulations, and child development. Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required. Excellent communication, organisational, and team-working abilities. Full UK driving licence.
