Job Title: Fundraising Coordinator (funded by the NLCF)
Location: Leeds, UK
Salary: FTE £26,936 (pay award pending)
Hours: Part time 12 hours (to be delivered flexibly during the week)
Annual Leave: 20 days plus bank holidays (pro rata)
Reports to: Funding lead
Job Purpose:
The Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for implementing fundraising strategies to support the mission and goals of People Matters. This role includes managing individual and corporate fundraising activities, securing sponsorships, and building relationships with donors and corporate partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising Strategy: Supporting the funding lead to identify and research potential funding opportunities from charitable trusts, foundations, and corporate sponsors. Support the funding lead to meet identified financial targets
2. Corporate Sponsorship: Deliver corporate sponsorship programs, including employee giving and matched giving initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners to secure sponsorships and donations. Support funding lead to create and deliver compelling sponsorship proposals and presentations.
3. Individual Giving: Manage individual donor relationships, including regular communications and updates. Organize and coordinate fundraising campaigns, events, and activities to engage individual donors.
4. Maintain a donor database to track contributions and donor preferences.
5. Event Management: Support the planning and delivery of fundraising events, such as sponsored outdoor activities, charity auctions, and community events. Coordinate logistics, marketing, and volunteer support for fundraising events.
6. Marketing and Communications: Raise awareness of People Matters and its work through social media, website content, and local media. Create and distribute marketing materials, including leaflets, banners, and newsletters. Support the charity’s online presence, including web-based fundraising platforms and social media accounts.
7. Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities, providing regular reports to the funding lead
Person Specification:
Essential:
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Strong organisational and time management abilities.
10. Proficiency in using MS Office and social media platforms.
11. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
12. Proven experience in fundraising, corporate sponsorship, or a related field.
13. Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
14. Familiarity with website editing platforms such as WordPress.
15. Experience in event planning and management.
