Exciting role on offer for a Lead Structural Technician to join an innovative construction company to play a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions across complex projects.

This company are an award-winning, niche construction company who specialise in innovative light steel frame solutions. They work on a range of projects including mixed use buildings, student accommodation and Ministry of Defence. They have a busy year ahead with lots of projects recently won for 2026, so they are now looking for a Lead Structural Technician to join the team.
In this hybrid role, you will be required to manage and coordinate a team of designers. You will be responsible for workloads, setting deadlines, monitoring progress and ensuring timely delivery of all design outputs produced by the team. You will incorporate engineering calculations and details into hot rolled steel designs working closely with the design team, other Structural Engineers, clients, factory and site teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience using Revit, AutoCAD and Advanced Steel and will have previous experience in a similar design related role. You will be an excellent communicator, being able to work accurately and competently. You will be a problem solver with a solutions-focused approach.
The Role:
* Lead, manage and coordinate a team of designers
* Structural drawings
* Allocate workloads, set deadlines, monitor progress of design projects
* Hot rolled steel
* Working closely with factory and site teams as well as Structural Engineers
* Using Revit, AutoCAD, Advanced Steel and MWF
* Hybrid role, 3 days in office 2 days from home
The Person:
* Strong experience in steel design
* Software experience essential
* Excellent communication skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Professional, proactive and solutions-focused approach
* Confident coordinating teams
* Live in commutable distance to Stroud
