What does the First- Line Compliance Assistant at Collinson do?
To provide administrative support to the First-Line Compliance Manager and Commercial Account Managers in both the Multi-Lines and Travel Insurance business functions.
Key Responsibilities of this role include
* Reporting into the First Line Compliance Manager to assist both the First Line Compliance Manager and Commercial Account Managers within the Multi-Lines and Travel Teams, ensuring the line of business fulfils its regulatory responsibilities in all areas of Compliance and the product lifecycle.
* Assist the Commercial Account Managers with the on-boarding and due diligence of potential, and existing partners.
* Co-ordinate and engage with SMEs across the Insurance Division to assist in the completion of Risk Assessments and other key documents to support Outsourcing activities within the line of business.
* Assist the Commercial Account Managers with the completion of Fair Value Assessments and ensure they are completed annually and go through regular Risk reviews as required.
* Collate, analyse, and prepare the packs and data for internal committees. This will sometimes include attending relevant committee meetings as required with the First Line Compliance Manager
* Work closely with the 2nd Line Compliance and Risk teams to ensure the appropriate oversight of our partners and their distribution chain in managing conduct risk & keeping in line with Consumer Duty Requirements
* Supporting and managing a Compliance calendar for both Multi-Lines and Travel (this will involve good Excel skills and attention to detail) to ensure we always meet our regulatory obligations.
* Risk and Compliance Support for the Commercial teams.
Key skills and experience to be evidenced within your application included
The candidate will have had experience working within a Compliance Function, preferably within the Insurance Industry.
* An understanding of FCA rules, regulations, principles, and codes of practice
* Strong administrative & organisational skills
* Attention to detail
* Good time management skills
* Natural ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines as directed
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
