Find out more by taking a look at www.skillsforcare.org.uk. The Head of Region leads and manages a regional team to successfully deliver the Skills for Care strategy and annual business plan. The postholder must have a deep knowledge of the social care and health system and the insight and skill to apply Skills for Care's offer to create solutions for employers and stakeholders. The Head of Region will identify and engage key stakeholders, developing relationships in order to deliver Skills for Care's offer, gain insight and intelligence, and influence on behalf of Skills for Care and social care. Crucially they will be a skilled and experienced team leader who is able to motivate, develop and direct a skilled senior team. The Head of Region will report to the Head of Local Engagement. The postholder will have budget responsibility for area activities up to the value of £100,000. The postholder may have budget holding responsibility for work areas of a national remit up to £1.5million. Based on individual experience, expertise and organisational priority, the Head of Region may also be assigned a national lead role.
