This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in the relaunch of one of Scotland's most iconic castle hotels, helping to embed new standards, shape the culture of the team, and deliver an exceptional guest journey from day one.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day hotel operation, ensuring all departments are aligned, motivated, and performing to the highest level as the castle reopens to the market.
Reporting to and working closely with the General Manager, you will:
Lead the operational reopening phase, ensuring a smooth and successful launch
Embed new concepts, service standards, and ways of working across the business
Champion the guest experience at every touchpoint
Develop and inspire a high-performing management team

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Lead the daily operation across all departments, with a strong focus on:
Food & Beverage
Rooms Division
Guest experience
Drive quality, consistency, and attention to detail across the property
Monitor performance against KPIs, budgets, and commercial targets
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements
Guest Experience & Brand Positioning
Deliver a luxury, memorable, and distinctive castle experience
Actively manage guest feedback and reputation
Ensure the new product and service style are brought to life operationally
People & Culture
Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team
Create a culture of energy, pride, and accountability during the reopening phase
Coach and mentor Heads of Department
Lead by example with a visible and engaging management style
Commercial Focus
Support revenue growth across all areas
Maximise profitability through cost control and efficient labour management
Identify opportunities to enhance the guest offering and drive spend
