Join our team as a Cancer and Psychological Support (CaPS) Service Counsellor at Lehrman Cameron Studio, LLC.
Job Overview
This role offers an experienced counsellor the opportunity to support patients throughout their cancer journey, working within a supportive team environment with flexible arrangements. You will provide psychological counselling, conduct assessments, facilitate groups, and work across clinical and community settings, including homeworking. Travel across the health board's counties may be required.
Main Duties
* Conduct assessments and provide one-on-one psychological and counselling support.
* Facilitate group sessions for patients and carers.
* Work in a hybrid model using digital, telephone, text, and face-to-face counselling.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals within Oncology/Cancer Services.
* Maintain digital records and demonstrate digital counselling competencies.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Registered with BACP.
* Relevant Diploma in Counselling.
* Working towards or holding Accreditation.
* Online and telephone counselling qualification.
Desirable:
* Additional counselling qualifications.
* Experience in cancer or end-of-life counselling, NHS, and community settings.
Skills and Other Requirements
Experience working autonomously, digital skills, and willingness to travel. Knowledge of cancer care and bilingual Welsh/English skills are desirable but not essential.
Additional Information
We support professional development and offer supervision. The role is based in Aberystwyth covering Ceredigion, with potential travel to other counties. The appointment process will include an interview on 02/05/2025.
