Registered Nurse - Unit Lead (Days)

* 33 hours (3 days per week) including weekend working on an alternating rota
* £21.70 per hour
* 8am-8pm shifts

Nestled in the charming town of Cockermouth and with stunning views of the Lake District fells, 60-bedded Dalton Court offers high-quality, specialist Nursing and Dementia care in a peaceful and picturesque setting. We are proud to also offer palliative and end-of-life care, along with flexible respite stays, tailored to support individuals and families when they need it most.

We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated NMC Registered - Unit Lead to join the team in providing outstanding support to residents, management and staff

As a Unit Lead at our home, your role may involve:

* To take the lead in ensuring outstanding levels of clinical care are provided to residents at all times.
* Offer supervision, support and training to Nurse and Care Assistant colleagues, whilst at the same time ensuring at all times a safe, caring, stimulating and homely environment for residents and their visitors.
* Applicants should be dedicated, proactive and trustworthy RGN’s or RMN’s, with proven supervisory experience and either experience of, or a keen interest in, working in a nursing home environment.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential, as are an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work and a keen interest in the professional development of themselves and others.
* Qualified Nurse with NMC registration.
* Maintaining high standards within the care home environment
* Senior-level duties to support the Home Manager, including: completing risk assessments, staff supervisions, appraisals, record-keeping, medication administration, person-centred care planning, audits, liaising with outside professionals, etc.

What are we looking for?

* Qualified as Registered General Nurses (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN)
* Compassionate, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering person-centred care
* Experienced in nursing home care (preferred but not essential)
* A positive outlook and warm personality- essential
* Confident in record-keeping and the use of various technologies- essential
* Prior experience with writing care plans and carrying out risk assessments- essential
