We’re looking for a hardworking, driven, and passionate candidate to join our team as we get set for further growth in 2025/2026, helping our owners to maintain their high quality properties, and to ensure our guests receive the very best customer service whilst staying with us. This role is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm As an integral member of the maintenance team you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of gas appliances within our holiday homes. Which include but not limited to install, maintain, and repair gas boilers, perform routine safety inspections, issue gas safety inspections and all aspects of general domestic plumbing. You will often deal with customers on call, helping them with maintenance or dealing with any issues, so will need to be personable and have great communication skills, putting people at ease, working through problems calmly and diligently. While we prefer candidates with prior experience, we are also open to considering recently qualified engineers. As part of your role, you will be allocated a company van and fuel card for transportation. Additionally, you will receive a tablet device that integrates with our systems, facilitating tasks such as scheduling and fault reporting. To be considered for this role you MUST have: Good team spirit An ability to work individually and as part of a team. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. The ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems. Have a proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all. General maintenance skills, including basic electrical & joinery. IT Literate and be able to use applications and upload documents. Having a can-do attitude and being open to learning new skills. Experience is carrying out landlord inspections (CP12) & Servicing boilers. Experience of servicing and repairing boilers. Full driving license (if you have a disability, we will explore reasonable adjustments with you). Gas safe registration ACS, along with a natural gas domestic qualification -minimum of CCN1, CENWAT, and HTR1. Gas Cookers and Ranges (CKR1). Unvented Hot Water Qualification (UDHW) is desirable Experience with domestic plumbing And Day to Day? …… You will be responsible for: Conducting annual gas safety inspections and servicing of gas appliances in accordance with Gas Safe regulations. Identifying and rectifying any faults or issues with gas appliances, including boilers, cookers, and heaters. Performing gas safety checks and issuing Gas Safety Certificates (CP12) for holiday homes. Responding promptly to gas-related emergencies and breakdowns, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to guests. Maintaining accurate records of gas appliance inspections, repairs, and servicing. Keeping up to date with industry regulations and best practices related to gas safety. Resolving plumbing related issues. Completing compliance requirements as per the company policy (Training will be provided) Liaising with the Maintenance & Compliance Manager daily to report on job completion and status.
