Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Control Auditor to ensure the quality and compliance of incoming garment deliveries from our global manufacturing supply base. This is a practical, detail-focused role involving physical garment inspection, accurate measurement, fault identification, and clear technical reporting to suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor incoming container deliveries, select and request styles for inspection
* Carry out hands-on garment inspections, checking construction, fabric quality, sizing, trims and labelling.
* Identify defects, classify severity of fault, and assess overall product quality
* Produce clear, accurate Goods Inward Inspection Reports (GIIRs) with photographic evidence where required
* Communicate findings directly to suppliers and support corrective action plans
* Process customer returns by investigating faults and identifying root causes
* Produce Non-Conformance Reports suitable for direct submission to customers
* Initiate ongoing quality improvements across the supply base
* Support on internal company audits for ISO accreditations, ISO 9001, 14001 & 22301
Requirements
* A self-motivated approach with excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities
* Technical knowledge of textiles and/or garment construction
* Competency in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
* Ability to read garment technical specifications
Additional Information
* The role may require occasional overseas travel to conduct supplier audits and product inspections.
* You'll be part of a quality-focused compliance team working with an international supply base, driving continuous product and quality process improvements.
