Join us as a Senior Customer Analytics Manager and you’ll be a big part of this. Role P urpose : Reporting into the Head of Analytics and Data Science, the Senior Analytics Manager will play a critical leadership role in transforming the way B&Q uses data. Responsible for leading a team of analytics managers and their respective teams, this role will set the strategic direction for analytics, drive the delivery of high impact analysis, and embed a culture of data driven decision making across the business. Strategic Leadership : Define and lead the analytics vision aligned with business goals; shift from reactive analysis to proactive business partnering. Platform Modernisation : Oversee migration to cloud platforms (Databricks, dbt, Power BI, GitHub); ensure scalable and secure analytics delivery. Team Development : Manage and grow analytics managers; build a high-performance, empowered team culture. Product-Led Analytics : Promote reusable, scalable analytics assets to reduce duplication and drive long-term value. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Align with Data Science, Visualisation, Automation, and Product teams for end-to-end delivery. Stakeholder Engagement : Translate business needs into analytics opportunities; influence senior decision-making across functions. Data Culture : Champion data literacy and embed data-driven decision-making across the organisation. Delivery Ownership : Lead roadmap and execution of key analytics products; ensure outputs are actionable and valuable. Coaching & Mentoring : Develop technical and commercial capabilities across analysts and managers. Community Leadership : Represent analytics across B&Q and the wider group; share best practices and align on priorities. External Awareness : Stay current with tools, trends, and best practices to keep B&Q’s analytics future-fit. Team Management : Experience managing managers; strong coaching mindset focused on empowerment and growth. Agile & Product-Led Delivery : Experience with agile methods, product-focused analytics, and modern tooling (version control, CI/CD, scalable data products). Technical Expertise : Advanced SQL, working knowledge of Python (or similar), hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery). Leadership : Proven track record leading analytics teams and strategy in complex environments—ideally retail, customer, or loyalty-focused. Customer Data Insight : Strong experience using customer data to drive actionable insights with commercial impact and clear storytelling. Stakeholder Engagement : Skilled in influencing senior leaders and building trusted relationships. Business & Technical Bridge : Able to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers. Strategic & Delivery-Focused : Sets compelling vision and leads execution with clarity and momentum. Mindset : Curious, ambitious, collaborative; challenges legacy thinking and drives change.
