This is a unique opportunity to join Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and work at one of the largest prisons in the UK. You will help provide excellent primary care and substance misuse services for our population.
Offenders are a challenging population with complex healthcare needs, often involving chaotic lives, poor engagement with community healthcare, high substance misuse, and mental health issues. This role offers a real chance to make a difference.

Role Details
You will join our established team of nurses across the prison, supporting services such as:
1. Primary Care services including First Night in Custody screening, secondary screening, nurse clinics, long-term condition management, and health promotion
2. Inpatient Unit
3. Emergency Response
4. Substance Misuse nursing services
You will be supported by a friendly healthcare team in an environment where no two days are the same.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a Band 6 nurse from diverse backgrounds. Experience with substance misuse, mental health, or prison healthcare is advantageous but not essential, as full support and training are provided.
