R9 Recruitment is delighted to announce an exceptional opportunity to join a respected Heating Contractor Client as a Heat Pump Service Engineer. With two positions available, based in the Manchester area, these roles form a crucial part of a dedicated Team within an expanding renewable energy business.
Position Details
Job Title: Heat Pump Service Engineer (2 positions)
Reports to: Regional Technical Manager
Location: Manchester
Competitive Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)

* 42.5-hour workweek (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:30 pm)

Responsibilities
* Carry out fault diagnostics and repairs for first-time fixes.
* Attend client sites to perform precise fault-finding and service tasks.
* Provide technical support to team engineers.
* Prepare detailed reports for clients and the Regional Technical Manager.
Suitable Candidates Must Have The Following
* A full UK driving licence
* Minimum of two years experience as a Heat Pump Service Engineer
Qualifications Including
* City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in at least one of the following:
* Heating & Ventilation
* Plumbing & heating
* Air conditioning & refrigeration
* FGAS & ODS Regulations (C&G 2079) CAT 1
* G3 unvented cylinders certified
Experience with servicing and repairing of gas heating systems would also be an advantage and the qualifications listed below:
CCN1, CKR, HTR1, CENWAT, CEN1 and CPA1 Preferred but NOT essential.
Essential Competencies
* Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
* Familiarity with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and method statements.
* Computer literacy and flexibility to support business needs.
An enhanced DBS check will be conducted for successful candidates.
