An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and dynamic senior nurse to join the Specialist Colorectal Nurse Team at Ipswich Hospital.
We are looking for an experienced nurse who has extensive knowledge and experience in colorectal /cancer nursing.
The right person must have a passion and drive to provide high quality patient centred care. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist - colorectal care, you will be supporting patients from diagnosis, through treatment, who have been diagnosed with bowel cancer.
Main duties of the job
As an experienced colorectal nurse you will deliver a high quality specialist nursing service to our patients and staff by promoting excellence in practice through teamwork and evidence based care and practice, you will have experience of looking after colorectal cancer patients.
You will work closely with a variety of health care professionals and the management team, you will be a valued member of the team and you will have input in developing the colorectal service.
The is a challenging and demanding role and requires a proactive, self-motivated, dedicated person who is capable of managing complex care pathways across multiple agencies and services to ensure the highest quality of care and service delivery for all patients.
You will have excellent communication skills, be able to manage your own work load and have problem solving skills. You will be an excellent team player but equally be able to work autonomously.
