SEN Teaching Assistant required to support two students on a 1-1 basis with ASD and SEMH.
For the role as a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to work with one student in the morning and other student during the afternoon, both within the classroom and during learning activites outside the classroom.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting engagement, emotional regulation and positive behaviour, enabling both students to access their learning with progression.
To start as soon as possible, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm (Term time only)
SEN Teaching Assistant responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 tailored support for the students with ASD/SEMH needs.
* Supporting learning and development in the classroom and activities outside the classroom.
* Helping the students to regulate emotions, manage behaviour and engage positively with their learning and development
* Supporting social communication, independence and confidence
* Working closely with class the teacher and SENCo
* Has experience working with children that have ASD and SEMH.
* To have an understanding of the importance of structure, routine and clear boundaries.
* Happy to assist with personal care if needed.
* Teaching Assistant L2/L3, Care or SEND qualification
