We currently have an opportunity for an experienced People Experience Advisor (on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract) to join our People Team based in Exeter or Bristol, with travel to our sites across Devon, Cornwall, Bristol, Bournemouth, and Surrey. You will receive a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
About the role:
The People Experience Advisor is a key role within the People function, providing support to the Head of People in managing HR operations. This role involves collaboration with HR leaders and colleagues within the People Service Centre to ensure efficient HR service delivery. The advisor acts as a point of contact for managers and employees on HR matters and supports HR processes, policies, and initiatives. This role offers HR professionals valuable experience in a dynamic environment, supporting a wide range of HR activities.
What you will be doing:
1. Act as a point of contact for HR-related queries from managers and employees, providing advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
2. Support the Head of HR in implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
3. Provide guidance and coaching to managers.
4. Oversee key HR processes as needed.
5. Collaborate with the HR Service Centre on employee lifecycle processes, ensuring accurate HR data management.
6. Assist with workforce planning, headcount management, and HR metrics development.
7. Support employee engagement initiatives, including surveys and feedback programs.
8. Work with HR data systems to ensure employee information is up-to-date.
9. Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
10. Support HR issue resolution and resource provision for HR centres of excellence.
11. Assist with HR project planning and execution to meet milestones.
What we are looking for:
* Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment law.
* Excellent communication skills to convey complex HR concepts.
* Practical problem-solving skills for HR issues.
* Teamwork and stakeholder collaboration skills.
* Attention to detail in HR processes.
* Discretion in handling sensitive information.
* Familiarity with HRIS and MS Office tools, especially Excel.
* Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
* CIPD qualification or equivalent (preferred).
* Experience in HR advisory or operational roles.
* Experience with HR systems and administrative processes.
