We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Team Leader to join our Bassetlaw and Newark team. As a Team Leader at Change Grow Live, you will be at the forefront of our service delivery. You will be responsible for line management of substance use practitioners, alongside the operational management and strategic development of the service, ensuring consistently high professional standards. The role requires a strong focus on safeguarding, promoting harm reduction and resilience, and leading a professional, values-driven team culture committed to excellent service delivery.
Your role will involve forming and fostering relationships with key partners, providing clear role modelling, leadership and supervision for your team, to ensure we are providing an effective service and meeting contractual requirements.
We would like to see a leader who can inspire others, can collaborate and foster good relationships and who can drive forward innovation to continually improve the service for those who work in and who access our services.
Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: £35,220.59 - £37,184.91(pro rata for part time hours)
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About you:
The successful candidate will have experience of leadership within the health/social care field, experience of managing safeguarding and delivering supervision that is reflective and based on professional development. They will have excellent knowledge of the key issues relating to substance use, and the ability to interact with a range of professionals on a range of levels to ensure the best outcomes for this cohort.
About the Role:
1. Team Leadership & Supervision -Provide operational line management to staff, including supervision with reflective practice, conduct appraisals and manage performance and sickness absence and ensure staff comply with organisational (CGL) and external policies relevant to their roles.
2. Empowering Staff & Service Users - Support staff in promoting hope, empowerment, choice, and independence for service users and encourage practices that help individuals reach their full potential within their communities
3. Values-Based Leadership - Ensure organisational values underpin all decision-making and service delivery and foster a culture that reflects and promotes these values across the team.
4. Staff Scheduling & On-Call Duties - Manage staff rotas to ensure adequate service coverage, work collaboratively with other managers to coordinate staffing and participate in the management on-call rota.
Service Quality & Performance Management - Monitor service quality using data analysis, engage staff in continuous improvement planning and develop team and individual performance plans where necessary.
5. Safeguarding & Risk Management - Work with the team and the Designated Safeguarding Lead to identify risks to service users, children, and families, ensure staff are competent in delivering interventions that reduce risk.
6. Team Communication & Learning Culture - Plan, chair, and contribute to team meetings, promote a learning culture and ensure effective information sharing and provide staff with feedback on service developments and delivery.
7. Staff Development & Training - Use the Skill-Station learning platform to identify training needs and encourage participation in both face-to-face and e-learning development opportunities.
8. Practice Observation & Feedback - Observe staff practice to support improvements in service user e timely, constructive feedback aligned with organisational values.
9. Governance & Professional Standards - Maintain robust governance and monitoring systems with the management team and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and adherence to professional standards.
10. Stakeholder Engagement - Attend internal and external meetings with stakeholders on behalf of the management team.
11. Recruitment & Induction - Lead the recruitment, selection, and induction of staff and volunteers.
