Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Steyning
Pay Rate: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Steyning area. This is an exciting opportunity to provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning and develop skills in a nurturing and inclusive environment. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support to pupils with special educational needs.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils individually and in small groups to meet their learning needs.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons adapted for SEN pupils.
* Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Requirements for SEN TA
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN in school settings.
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, including explanations for any employment gaps.
