Job Description
Turner and Townsend is a leading consultancy in the Energy and Natural Resources sector. We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to lead a high-profile, London-based Energy Infrastructure project.
We seek candidates with experience in Power and Energy sectors or other major infrastructure sectors such as rail, highways, aviation, and utilities.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To lead project management commissions, overseeing end-to-end service delivery, especially for large or complex projects.
To support on major commissions, managing aspects of service delivery.
To ensure client objectives are met, and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Scope:
Projects typically range from £1m to £10m, but can be larger. Candidates should be comfortable managing small to medium complexity projects independently, with access to the wider team’s expertise.
Key responsibilities:
* Advising strategically at project inception, including approach options to meet client objectives.
* Defining project requirements and success criteria (time, cost, technical, performance).
* Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems.
* Creating and maintaining project schedules and plans.
* Managing project development according to plans and targets.
* Developing resource and procurement plans.
* Leading cross-functional project teams.
* Monitoring performance using KPIs and managing change control.
* Controlling budgets and costs.
* Facilitating communication with clients and stakeholders.
* Identifying and mitigating risks.
* Reporting on project progress.
* Interfacing with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
* Advising on Health & Safety and Environmental issues.

Qualifications
* Degree in a construction or energy-related field or equivalent experience.
* Working towards chartership with relevant professional bodies (APM, ICE, RICS, etc.).
