Job Opportunity: Business Development Manager
We have a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager working from our retail store in Driffield, covering East Yorkshire.
This is a full-time, field-based role involving managing existing accounts, gaining new business, and providing on-farm support for feed, fertiliser, and other agricultural supplies. Previous sales experience in the sector and good knowledge of the territory are essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop sales in line with set targets across our product and service portfolio.
2. Understand and promote the company's range of products and services.
3. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Mole Valley Farmers Group.
4. Participate in business review meetings and training sessions.
5. Serve existing clients and develop new accounts.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Successful sales experience within the agricultural sector.
* Motivated by meeting and exceeding targets, with a positive attitude.
* Good knowledge of agriculture and empathy with farming communities.
* Financially savvy, experienced in structuring deals, using finance tools, and closing high-value sales.
* Interest in current and future precision technologies is advantageous.
* Experience in farm management is beneficial, especially if motivated by sales success.
* Well-organized, self-motivated, and thorough in territory coverage.
* Proficient in IT systems, Microsoft Office, and sales-related software.
