Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dessert Maker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a variety of delicious desserts that meet our high standards of quality and presentation such as waffles, crepes, ice creams and shakes at a fast pace.
Duties
Prepare and assemble a wide range of desserts, including cakes, pastries, mousses, and other sweet treats
Ensure all desserts are prepared in accordance with recipes, presentation standards, and food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dessert station, adhering to hygiene standards at all times
Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredients and notifying management of stock levels
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of desserts during service hours
Upsell dessert options to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes
Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable
Good serving skills with an emphasis on presentation and customer satisfaction
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Enthusiasm for baking and creating visually appealing desserts
Upselling skills to promote dessert specials confidently
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £10.00-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
