Job Description Veterinary Surgeon Heanor Heanor Vets for Pets are excited that they are looking for a new Veterinary Surgeon to join them in a growth phase of the practice! About Us The Heanor practice opened its doors in January 2020 and is now looking for a second permanent vet to welcome into the small but friendly team. Vet and Joint Venture Partner, Ann O’Neill and her team, have created something special - a general practice with a great and varied client base that really cares about colleagues, clients and pets. Ann and her team of Nurses and Receptionists have worked hard to make the practice a success and they continue to go from strength to strength, focusing on always delivering the best client experience. The small animal practice is bright, spacious and air-conditioned with separate dog, cat and isolation wards, built to industry leading standards. There is a good quality ultrasonography and digital radiography, as well as dental radiography, along with other equipment to enable Heanor Vets for Pets to offer a complete general practice service. The practice is based in the small town of Heanor located just off the M1, junction 26. East Midlands airport is only 20 minutes away and you can reach the centre of Nottingham in under 30 minutes. About You This is a great opportunity if you are looking to build your own client base or have new ideas of how to do or shape things, as we are a team who are always open to new ideas. You will find you will build great client relationships in this role and will see a real variety of cases. The key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care. Occasional sole charge will be required so you will need to have solid medical skills and be confident with small animal surgery. You will be a strong team player and enjoy the variety the role will bring. If you are keen to develop within your own area of interest, we offer a generous CPD allowance and plenty of support. Ideally, we are looking to offer a 4-day working week - 36 hours (8:30am-6pm), however we are totally flexible to consider part time interests too! You will be required to work your share of a weekend rota of 1 in 2 Saturday mornings 9am-12pm but there is no Sunday working and no OOHs!
