Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our PRU setting in Ferryhill, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will work closely with pupils who may display challenging behaviour, helping them regulate emotions, build positive relationships, and re-engage with learning.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
* Managing behaviour using positive, trauma-informed approaches
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing
* Working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning
Ideal for: Psychology and Criminology graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in behaviour, mental health, and education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
