You will be working for a Public Sector organisation based in Birmingham.
Job Description
The Authorisation Caseworker will play a key role in delivering the business plan by making risk-based decisions on low to medium-risk applications from solicitors and legal firms. You will ensure these decisions comply with regulations and meet required quality, timeliness, and service standards.Key Responsibilities:
3. Make regulatory decisions on applications deemed low/medium risk.
4. Analyse applications and assess risk using multiple information sources.
5. Maintain compliance with regulatory guidance and internal standards.
6. Manage workload effectively to meet SLAs and team targets.
7. Handle queries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution.
8. Maintain data integrity for accurate regulatory registers and compliance monitoring.
9. Support process improvements to enhance service delivery and value for money.
10. Assist with on-boarding new team members and contribute to key projects.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Authorisation Caseworker will possess the following skills and attributes:
11. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.
12. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to assess evidence and clearly explain outcomes.
13. Proficient in interpreting and applying regulatory rules within a statutory framework.
14. Skilled at analysing complex data and information.
15. Able to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and meet quality and target standards independently or within a team.
16. Proven track record of ownership and delivering successful resolutions.
17. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers and stakeholders.
18. Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, professionalism, and discretion.
19. Strong IT and numeracy skills, including data analysis and report interrogation.
20. Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
