Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our Community Paediatric SLT team in South London. This is an immediate-start position ideal for a therapist passionate about delivering high-quality, child-centred care in school and home settings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
2. Manage a diverse community caseload independently, including mainstream and special schools, nurseries, and home visits.
3. Develop and review individualised therapy plans in line with EHCPs and SEND support.
4. Collaborate with parents, carers, teachers, SENCOs, and multidisciplinary teams.
5. Provide training, advice, and support to education staff and families.
6. Maintain accurate records and contribute to service audits and clinical governance.
Requirements:
* HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
* Enhanced DBS clearance.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (Band 5 or equivalent), ideally in paediatrics or community settings.
* Proven experience supporting children with SLCN, autism, or developmental language disorders.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential).
