Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for implementing the Nursing Process based on established Standards of Practice and ensuring all patient care policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with Garnet Health Hospital policies, the Nurse Practice Act, and the New York State Licensure requirements. The registered nurse will be able to exhibit critical thinking, effectively organize/prioritize accordingly, and implement evidence-based nursing.

Salary Range
The range for the role is $48.50-$74.60 hourly. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The listed range does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other compensation or benefits. Several factors may be considered when determining a team member’s compensation, including location, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity.
Qualifications
* Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred. Maintains all required certifications for the areas assigned.
* Medical-Surgical experience preferred.
* Current NY State license and registration as a registered nurse.
* ANCC-Med/Surg certification preferred.
* BLS Provider Course completed prior to unit orientation; BLS renewal not required once ACLS is obtained.
* Cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course completed within 3 months of hire.
* Hospital crisis prevention training completed within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.
* ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
* New Graduates are welcome; training available.
Physical and Working Conditions
Position involves medium to light physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods. Work environment is a clean, well-lit facility with potential exposure to hazards. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and adapt to irregular hours is required.
