Principal Fire Engineer Job in Manchester, Cheshire
in Manchester, for an established and leading fire consultancy. As a key part of the Fire Engineering team, you will be working through all stages of complex fire engineering projects. The role offers a salary of £65,000 – £90,000 + Bonus + 27 Days Holiday + BH + hybrid working + healthcare + continuous CPD / professional development.

Role & Responsibilities
* Reporting to Associate Fire Engineer / Associate Director
* Managing technical aspects of larger projects or components of major projects
* Support and mentor Fire Engineers within your team
* Delivery of fire consultancy services, designer services and fire strategies
* Manage internal and external enquiries
* Develop new and existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
* Lead the fire engineering team/s to deliver multiple projects
* Attend design team meetings throughout the project
* Support with business strategy and digital innovations
* Preparation of reports, engineering designs, calculations and specifications
* Project manage from start to end including financials, quality management planning and customer care.
* Client facing through the lifecycle of projects.
Required Skills & Experience
* Engineering Council Accredited BEng Hons, MEng or MSc
* CEng / IEng or working towards
* MIFIREE or working towards
* Ideally 7+ years’ experience in fire engineering
* Extensive experience in delivering fire-engineered solutions for UK based projects
* Familiar with active passive and active fire protection systems
* Strong understanding of UK legislation/regulations and design guidance (will also consider applicants from New Zealand or Australia with similar regulations)
* Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines
* UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
