A Laundry/Kitchen Assistant is to ensure that every resident enjoys clean and well-maintained laundry that is presented to the required standard. Lastly, as a Kitchen Assistant, you will assist in the preparation of ingredients, maintaining a clean kitchen, and supporting the cook with meal preparation where needed.

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: Laundry Assistant:
* To efficiently manage the laundering of clothing and linen, thereby preventing un-necessary build-up.
* To ensure the laundry is identified for the correct loading of washer(s) and dryer(s).
* To have a knowledge of wash and drying programmed for differing fabrics and separate accordingly.
* To ensure there is a regular stock of detergent and fabric conditioner.
* To be responsible for the maintenance of the laundry equipment and the regular de-fluffing of the dryer(s), reporting any defects to the Manager or Housekeeper.
Kitchen Assistant:
1. Assist cook in the preparation of vegetables and at very busy periods where necessary.
