Position Overview
Field based Grounds Maintenance Team Leader working across Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Permanent, full‑time (39 hours). Annual salary £29,426 (FTE).
Responsibilities
* Carrying out gardening, grounds maintenance and general repairs.
* Line managing one or more team members.
* Ensuring safe working practices for yourself and your team.
* Keeping accurate records of team activities.
* Managing and maintaining equipment, vehicles and machinery.
* Upholding excellent customer service standards.
* Ensuring compliance with regulations and the company's health and safety policies.
Key Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience in horticulture and/or landscape maintenance.
* At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Pesticide application certificate.
* Strong knowledge of horticulture procedures and safe use of equipment.
* Ability to organise and coordinate a team to achieve goals within deadlines.
* Commitment to excellent customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in keeping accurate records.
* Sufficient numeracy and literacy skills.
* Ability to deliver training to team members when required.
