Job Title: Housing Surveyor – Stock Condition and Compliance

Contract Type: Interim / Contract
Hourly Rate: £30 to £40 per hour (negotiable depending on experience and chartership)
About the Role
We are looking for an Interim Housing Surveyor to deliver stock condition and compliance surveys across a large social housing portfolio. This assignment will suit an experienced surveyor who can work independently, complete accurate surveys and contribute immediately to housing compliance and investment programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out structured property surveys, collecting data on condition, compliance and energy performance
Identify and record hazards, defects and safety risks in line with regulations
Collect evidence for damp and mould assessments, including environmental readings and photos
Ensure surveys are compliant with Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS and other statutory requirements
Upload survey results promptly into asset management systems What We’re Looking For
Experience in housing, building surveying or property maintenance
Ideally MRICS or MCIOB, but experienced non-chartered surveyors are welcome
Knowledge of stock condition methodology and compliance frameworks
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work to tight timescales
Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer
