The role
Working in a varied and interesting environment you must be highly organised with a positive and flexible approach to workloads and can work to tight deadlines. You should be able to work well as part of a team, exercising confidentiality at all times. You must also be able to prioritise your own workload and work on your own initiative.
You will need high level keyboard skills and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (particularly Word and Excel). You will need to have excellent and accurate literacy, numeracy, administrative skills and the ability to analyse information to solve general queries.
There will be a significant amount of telephone contact dealing with customers, social workers, and other local authority staff, servicing their requests or incident management; therefore, excellent verbal communications are essential, as are written skills in terms of documentation of outcomes and resolutions.
