We are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager within our Blowmoulding operation at Severnside to join our team.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all work standards are met and aligned with company policies and procedures.
2. Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and practices effectively.
3. Promote high levels of personal safety awareness among the workforce.
4. Drive improvements in systems and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, environmental, and production standards.
5. Support manufacturing and supply performance to meet set objectives.
6. Assist managers with absence and performance management, including disciplinary procedures.
7. Set objectives and targets for team and individual performance improvement.
8. Mentor, coach, and develop team members, aligning development plans with business objectives.
9. Ensure compliance with all business standards, including health and safety, quality, and site performance.
10. Record and close corrective actions for STAR/Accidents.
11. Support the manufacturing and engineering managers in achieving business objectives.
12. Drive site performance and team discipline through daily management.
13. Prioritize workload and improvement actions.
14. Optimize costs by managing waste and efficiencies.
15. Identify performance issues and implement improvement plans.
16. Conduct regular workstation visits to identify issues and support problem solving.
17. Mentor team members to support problem solving and continuous improvement.
18. Ensure effective handovers and issue documentation.
19. Perform regular health, safety, quality, and hygiene inspections.
20. Utilize problem-solving and facilitation skills to drive improvements.
21. Support training and development needs for production and supply teams.
22. Maintain regular communication through 1-2-1s, PDP discussions, and briefings.
23. Manage sickness absence and disciplinary issues proactively to meet KPIs.


Skills and Experience:

1. IOSH Managing Safely certification.
2. Leadership qualities.
3. GCSEs grade C or above in Maths and English.
