Role:
Venture Recruitment Partners are looking to speak with motivated Assistant Accountants who would benefit from a new challenge with a supportive and experienced finance team in a growing organisation.
The business will support part-qualified candidates complete their professional accountancy qualifications and offer regular development opportunities. They also provide private medical cover for employees and their families, as well as a 12% employer pension contribution.
The role will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting statutory / management reporting, and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP
Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accurate posting of transactions
Completing balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, prepayments and accruals
Preparing quarterly VAT returns
Monitoring capital expenditure projects against approved budgets
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
Supporting internal and external audits with required documentation
Monitoring and analysing financial performance, identifying trends and variances
Experience / Qualifications:
CIMA / ACCA part-qualified
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP system experience desirable
Experience in a manufacturing advantageous but not essential
Organised, proactive and able to manage deadlines effectively
