Deputy Manager – Solo Placement Children's Home

We are opening a specialist solo placement home in Ascot, supporting a young child with complex needs and challenging behaviours. We are seeking a Deputy Manager who can provide strong leadership, support the Registered Manager, and help ensure the highest standards of care, compliance, and staff development.

* Regulatory Consultant (ex-Ofsted Inspector): full service audits to guide improvement.
* Full-time Responsible Individual: proven experience achieving Outstanding with Ofsted.
* Clinical Psychologist: regular assessments and hands-on guidance.
* Clinical Mental Health Nurse: delivering ACEs and trauma-informed practice training.
* Physical Intervention Training (PRICE): tailored to staff needs, with full trainer support.
* Therapeutic frameworks: PBS, PERMA, PACE, Active Support, and Trauma-Informed Practice.
What you'll be doing:
* Supporting the Registered Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the home.
* Leading, coaching, and supervising staff, ensuring a high standard of practice.
* Acting as a role model in delivering therapeutic and trauma-informed care.
* Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
* Contributing to placement planning, audits, and service improvement.
* Building strong relationships with professionals, families, and stakeholders.

* Experience in residential childcare, ideally in a leadership or senior role.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and complex needs.
* Emotional resilience, calm under pressure, and a commitment to quality care.
* Ability to inspire and motivate staff, creating a positive team culture.
* A clear focus on achieving outstanding outcomes for children.
